The people behind the popular meme coin are promising a special surprise for 2022 that could be released at any time. Shiba Inu enthusiasts can expect some metaverse activity in the upcoming year. The platform took to Twitter ($TWTR@US) to say, “as promised, we are so excited to announce our first special surprise for the year #shibArmy!” The announcement went on to say, “in 2022, we are reaching new heights and welcoming Shiberse. An immersive experience for our ecosystem and the metaverse space.” An image was posted of what the metaverse might look like, and it gives users a better idea of how the space might function. Previously, Shiba Inu partnered with David Volk, a former VP at Activision Blizzard ($ATVI@US), to create an NFT-based game that will likely be released for mobile devices. At press time, Shiba Inu was up nearly 10%, still trading at a fraction of a penny on an increasing market cap and decreasing volume.
