A McDonald’s ($MCD@US) in Lugano, Switzerland is now accepting Bitcoin (
$76,261.00 ) and Tether as a form of payment. The city in Italian Switzerland is becoming a crypto hotspot after it signed a memorandum of understanding with Tether Operations Limited. Tether has established investment pools that support crypto startups and that encourage the adoption of crypto for shops and businesses across the city. Residents can pay local taxes using crypto, and down the road, they’ll be able to pay parking fees, public services, and tuition fees using crypto as well. More than 200 shops and businesses are also expected to accept crypto as a form of payment.
